AMICUS ASSISTANT

Understanding user roles

Amicus Assistant offers specialized user types and roles designed to enhance functionality and ease of use while maintaining high security standards.

Every law firm is provided with one free Firm Admin account by default. This account is crucial as it handles several key responsibilities that no other user can perform. These include creating and managing other user accounts, making subscription payments, transferring quotations and case files between lawyers, archiving quotations and case files, and viewing the audit trail. Additional user accounts, created by the Firm Admin, can be assigned roles such as Firm Admin, Partner, Lawyer, or Clerk.

The following table describes the roles and responsibilities:

*Cases marked private can only be viewed and accessed by the case owner. In the scenario whereby the case owner cannot be reached, Firm Admins have the authority to transfer ownership of private cases to a new lawyer but not to view the case file.

Note that one user may be assigned multiple roles.
